PASQUALE ESPOSITO CELEBRATES ENRICO CARUSO is a new 60 minutes public television special blending a stunning concert recorded live on the 13th Century Castello Giusso on the Amalfi Coast in Italy with travel documentary footage shot in Caruso’s Naples and Sorrento as well as the United States. Enrico Caruso was the world’s first international recording star, taking opera to the masses and the street vibrancy of Neapolitan songs to the world. He was the first Classical Cross Over artist, blazing the way for Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo and Andrea Bocelli, and other great international artists of the 21st Century.
In his first Public Television special, Italian Tenor Pasquale Esposito, born and raised in Caruso’s neighborhood, performs several of Caruso’s most famous songs and arias. Pasquale Esposito is joined on the stage by the sensational Soprano Mayssa Karaa and the Orchestra di Santa Chiara conducted by the world renown, Maestro Renato Serio. The intimate concert performance includes “Torna a Surriento” and “O Sole Mio” as the sun sets over the bay of Naples, as well as the many songs and arias that the great Caruso made standards even to this day...
